An entire generation was taught not to put things in our mouths because of this commercial. What a catchy tune! Do you think we all still know this song because is has such a great hook? Or because it was completely overplayed from 1993-1998? You be the judge.
Around Regina, you can still look someone in the eye and say “some people think I eat too many chocolate bars” and you’ll get the response, “or that I don’t wash my face.” This commercial inspired a generation of kids to care about their appearance, especially their face. Also, when one eats a lot of chocolate bars we’re reminded of this cultural tipping point for facial cleanliness.
One of my personal favs…
The log drivers waltz

I shared this on Twitter and @KiltedBroker chimed in saying he thought this was a video on how to pick up chicks! Atta boy Jackson.
And finally a public service announcement from our favourite drug spokesman, Pee-wee Herman…
Don’t do crack!

During the creation of a content-driven, engaging, educational, and well-measured website, people often spend a lot of time fretting over design details. While we’ll be the first to stress the website’s function and measurability as it meets your needs as being a much larger part of the website development and marketing strategy, the fact that the colours use have an effect on customers’ propensity to trust your business and make purchases from you can’t be overlooked. This is illustrated in great detail in this awesome infographic from the folks over at KISSmetrics. We’re sure you’ll learn something new. Let us know what you think.
Brandon recently completed a website for Regina Culture Days titled “iHeartCulture.ca“. Then they did the most important thing, they gave me a reason to check it out.
I love when people actually care about their website.
On their launch day at the downtown city square plaza you couldn’t miss this bus:
“Win packages to Saskatchewan Festivals. To enter visit IHeartCulture.ca”
They didn’t go the “field of dreams” route with their website like so many do. Spending a small fortune, you know, the if you build it they will come mentality. Stop it!
Building a website is easy. Getting people to your website again and again is difficult.
You must try harder every day to get people to your website. Obviously you’re going to need to measure what people are doing once they are on your website, but that’s for another blog post you silly nilly!
Good on you IHeartCulture!
Below are some of the more interesting/creative/weird/awkward/amazingly designed websites I’ve found over the past few years. If you have a really cool site you’d like to share please leave a link in the comments below, I’d love to see it.

1. Musical Hands? I don’t even know what the heck this website is called but you can make music with the touch of a button(s).
2. Koala’s to the Max is a website that, well not at first but after you do some work, reveals something. Go on try it out, you’ll be hooked.
3. Interactive Triangulation is a website where, well, you interact with triangles.
4. Eye Candy is a psychedelic journey best viewed after a Cypress Hill or Neil Young concert.
5. Don’t Click It is a website where you navigate around by moving your mouse, not clicking at all. It’s difficult, try it out.
6. Avoid the Red Dots, that’s all you have to do, check out this website.
7. Larry Carlson’s Medijate is a wild cross between One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and a tight and bright party. Make sure your speakers are one before you visit this site.
