What a CAMP!! The 2026 version of Big Idea Camp was phenomenal! From the guest speakers to the field trip, of course, the delicious Leo’s lunch was a hit. But this year we tried some new things. We ran our own Amazing Race challenge (which was hilarious to witness). We walked to Elle’s Cafe, and SHE EVEN TALKED TO THE CAMPERS!! Not only talked, Elle go in their videos too! It was pretty awesome. Thank you, Elle!

The highlight had to be Luke from Apex Adventure Park and Crazy Ape Manufacturing; during his tour, he mentioned to the teams that they’d be competing for GOLD CARDS. Yup, the winning team of the Apex challenge won Gold Cards to Apex (unlimited jumping for one full year). How cool is that? Thanks, Luke!

Some Thank Yous!

Another thank you we need to say: Laura Mock from Cultivator, thank you for letting us take over your office for a couple of days! It really is the nicest office in Regina!! Thank you for spending time with the campers to telling them all about the cool work you folks do at Cultivator! It’s inspiring!

Thanks to Talon Regent for answering SO many questions from the campers. We literally had to cut off the students from asking more questions, and we had to invite Talon to lunch so the students could KEEP peppering him with questions. What a great human who’s generous with his time. We thank you a lot, Talon!!!

We loved to hear Tanna’s story; what a fascinating journey she’s had. The students were inspired! Not only that, she talked about why it’s important to pay a living wage, not just minimum wage. That got everyone’s attention; what a cool idea coming from a business owner!

Thanks for being you, Thom and building a business you can be proud of. I’ve loved Thom’s business attitude for a while now, it’s refreshing in a world of hustle culture, where folks glorify being too busy to sleep. Thom, you’re an inspiration. Leopold’s Tavern for treating camp to lunch! Leo’s has supported Big Idea Camp for YEARS now, I think we’re going on 10 years? 9 for sure. Either way, we LOVE YOU LEO’S!!!

Elle was simply lovely

Elle’s Cafe for being wonderful humans and getting in video with the campers! You folks didn’t have to do that, I mean there were customers standing all around waiting in line, so we thank you for being willing to get in videos!

Luke from Apex/Crazy Ape gave the BEST tour!

To Luke and the Crazy Ape Equipment/Apex Adventure Park, that was one of the coolest tours EVER!! AND you ended it off with one of the most prized winnings we’ve ever had at Big Idea Camp, THE GOLD CARDS!

Thanks to our helpers, Kate Nimegeers from Workforce Solutions, and Dawn and Megan from Darke Hall!! That was a fun Amazing Race!!

To our amazing leader, Jill: you were wonderful this year and the reason camp runs so smoothly!! Mercedes! A Big Idea Camp alum working at Cultivator and still bringing the energy day in and day out. You are so good with the students. We hope we can work with you next year!!

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The Stratlab team has been fantastic. In the last 2 years Stratlab has helped us to overhaul our website.  I am not a tech person, but in working with Carter, Dustin, or Brandon, bit-by-bit we've been able to revolutionize our Events Guide from what it previously was. With pretty much every idea I've had, some I didn't even know if they were technically possible, these wizards have found a way to make them happen. They are also usually super quick to make requested changes or fix any weirdness that may arise.
We've had one of the best-looking and most user-friendy tourism Events Guides in the country that even our residents are getting excited about using!
You can tell these guys are passionate about their work and care about getting their customers exactly what they need & want. I'm sad that I'll no longer be working with this crew due to transitioning to another department at work, but I highly recommend the Strat Lab team for any web design project 👍👍
