Pathway to miyo-pimâtisiwin
Pathway to miyo-pimâtisiwin is a collaborative network of community agencies, individuals with lived experiences, Elders, and governmental organizations. Our mission is to combat social factors leading to street-based lifestyles, reduce violence, and promote community healing. We envision safe, inclusive communities. Network members include John Howard Society, Elizabeth Fry Society, STR8 UP, Street Culture Project, CLASSIC Law, and more.
Recognizing the mental health challenges of incarceration worsened by COVID-19, we’ve created an online art gallery. It offers incarcerated individuals a platform to share their COVID-19 experiences and mental health journeys through art and writing. Our goal is to give them a voice, empower them, and foster connections with the community through creative expression, particularly among BI&POC individuals.
