
Centre for Educational Research, Collaboration, & Development (CERCD)
The Centre for Educational Research, Collaboration, & Development (CERCD), formerly known as the Saskatchewan Instructional Development and Research Unit (SIDRU), is a dynamic research unit housed within the Faculty of Education at the University of Regina. CERCD is dedicated to fostering educational research and development initiatives that address the diverse needs of local, provincial, national, and international communities. Supported by a team of world-class scholars employing innovative research methodologies, CERCD has been a driving force in improving the quality of education in Saskatchewan since 1985. The center’s multifaceted approach includes research, curriculum and instruction development, consultative services, publishing research findings, conducting critical reviews, program evaluation, facilitating collaborative problem-solving, providing research opportunities, and securing project funding. CERCD aligns closely with the Faculty of Education’s mission and vision, emphasizing the enhancement of teaching and learning, Indigenization, decolonization, equity, social justice, engaged citizenship, and meaningful engagement in diverse communities.
