Prof. Shannon Holmes is a luminary in the realm of vocal arts, with a career that spans singing, acting, directing, and public speaking. Currently an Assistant Professor of Theatre at the University of Regina and the Artistic Director at SoMo Theatre, her influence extends to educational institutions like Concordia University and Dawson College. With over 20 years of experience running her private studio, she has mentored numerous talents who have gone on to perform on prestigious stages, from Broadway to London’s West End. An academic heavyweight, Prof. Holmes holds a PhD from the University of Birmingham and an MFA from Goddard College. Her pedagogical approach is as versatile as her career, encompassing a wide range of vocal techniques from bel canto to Roy Hart.
