Saskatchewan Farm Stress Line
Founded in 1992 by the Ministry of Agriculture, Farm Stress Line serves as a lifeline for rural communities in Saskatchewan, offering 24/7 crisis counselling through a toll-free phone line. In 2012, the ministry partnered with Mobile Crisis Services, Inc., a non-profit with a solid track record in crisis intervention since 1974, to manage and deliver these crucial services. Governed by a volunteer board, Mobile Crisis Services is a multi-faceted agency that extends its reach across various social and health crises, standing firmly on the belief that “where services should be provided, they will be provided.” Alongside Farm Stress Line, the organization also collaborates with multiple funding partners, including government ministries and local organizations, to ensure a comprehensive and accessible support system for all individuals in need.
