Creative City Centre
The Creative City Centre, founded by Marian Donnelly in 2008, has grown from a visionary idea into a vibrant hub of artistic expression in Regina’s downtown. Over the years, it has evolved from an empty space into a thriving community-based arts center. The journey involved meticulous planning, countless hours of renovation work, and passionate volunteers. In May 2011, the Creative City Centre officially opened its doors, becoming a home for a diverse range of events, including music concerts, art exhibitions, spoken word performances, comedy nights, and more. Despite facing funding challenges, the center persevered, thanks to the dedication of its founder, Marian, who took on multiple roles to keep the place running. In response to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, the center adapted by creating digital content and offering valuable artist development programs like Social Media Marketing for Artists and Recording Artist Development, ensuring that the spirit of creativity continues to thrive even in changing times.
