A content creation strategy to keep your website updated
Content, Content, Content!
Is it getting annoying yet? Everyone needs CONTENT! Well that’s not entirely true. If you’re insanely popular offline, your website doesn’t need much content. If you’re Batman, chances are enough people are talking about you and linking back to your website because they want to show respect for the caped crusader.
So if you aren’t a Superhero (which we know you aren’t) you’re going to need a content strategy. But we can help! We brainstorm with you a list of ideas that you could use to keep your website updated.
Up coming events, fundraisers you’re a part of, new people at your company, news internally (yes birthdays are news), new discoveries in your industry, videos talking about your industry (bonus if they’re Ted Talks), posters of people you look up to, what the new year brings to your industry, solving a customer problem and detailing how you did it, changes pending to your industry, world news that you care about, Netflix shows you love, a quote that you love, a book review of your latest read, a podcast that made you cry, a lesson from your childhood, a video you made on vacation, a casestudy about what you do, things that piss you off, organizations that need your help, an amazing event you attended, a cool new work spot in town, really anything you can write about and attach a picture.
What will you be known for in 5-10 years?
Your content strategy isn’t difficult, you just need to think it through. Because the Internet is consistently growing, there is no signs of stopping more and more search traffic trying to solve a problem. A problem you and your team know how to solve! Ask your team; “what do we want to be known for in the next 5-10 years?” And start writing about that.
