Dr. Roz Kelsey is a multifaceted individual whose extensive background encompasses advocacy, academia, and education. With an impressive educational journey that includes a B.PAS, B.Ed., M.Sc., and a PhD, Dr. Kelsey is a dedicated advocate for equity and inclusion. She candidly identifies herself as a White colonializer settler, leveraging her upbringing in a middle-class, racially segregated neighborhood on the Canadian prairies to raise awareness about privilege and internalized gender oppression. Throughout her career, Dr. Kelsey has fervently pursued practical ways to make a positive impact on the world. She has excelled as a teacher, curriculum developer, and public speaker, using her excellent communication skills to address critical issues such as gendered violence, racism, homophobia, and transphobia.
