Dr. Roz Kelsey is a multifaceted individual whose extensive background encompasses advocacy, academia, and education. With an impressive educational journey that includes a B.PAS, B.Ed., M.Sc., and a PhD, Dr. Kelsey is a dedicated advocate for equity and inclusion. She candidly identifies herself as a White colonializer settler, leveraging her upbringing in a middle-class, racially segregated neighborhood on the Canadian prairies to raise awareness about privilege and internalized gender oppression. Throughout her career, Dr. Kelsey has fervently pursued practical ways to make a positive impact on the world. She has excelled as a teacher, curriculum developer, and public speaker, using her excellent communication skills to address critical issues such as gendered violence, racism, homophobia, and transphobia. Dr. Kelsey’s expertise extends to policy development, research, and strategic planning, with a focus on promoting diversity and inclusion, making her a powerful force for change in her field.
